We discovered that my new house is only twenty minutes to Roaring River State Park. So my son planned a spontaneous get away, and we enjoyed a beautiful day in February at the park.
The spring-fed river begins here in this cave. Its clear blue water is something musicians write songs about. Instead, we played an imagination game, “What lies on the other side of the crystal blue portal?”
